Q:  When does registration end?

A:  Regular registration ends February 23rd.  “Regular” registration means you are guaranteed placement on a team close to where you live and we will likely meet all of your requests for team placement.  Late registration begins February 24th.  “Late” registration means that your application will be accepted on an “as needed” basis and your player(s) may not be placed (although, this is rare).  If we are unable to place your player on a team, your full registration will be returned.

Q:  How much does registration cost?

A:  The Regular Registration fee for Spring 2020 is $70 for U5 players.  Regular Registration for U6 - U19 is $100 per player and is required at time of registration in order to complete the registration process.  Late registration is $90 for U5 and $120 for U6 - U19 players.

Q:  Does LYSA offer scholarships?

A:  Scholarships are available every season.  Please see detailed information here.

Q:  Where / how do I register?

A:  You may register anytime online here.

Q:  What is the minimum age to play?

A:  Your player has to have been born before January 1, 2016.

Q:  Can I move my player “up” in age?

A:  Age groups overlap either by six months for U5-U8, or one year for U10-U19. This allows players to play up one division, if they desire, (without LYSA board approval) to be able to play with their school classmates or if they prefer more of a challenge

Q:  Can I move my player “down” in age?

A:  No.  Players are not allowed to play in an age division younger than their date of birth allows due to liability concerns and insurance requirements.

Q:  Can I request a specific team / coach / friend?

A:  Yes.  You may make special requests when you register on the page that asks about school attended, etc.  We do not guarantee all requests, but we are able to make most.  Siblings of the same age division will automatically be placed on the same teams unless the parents request otherwise.

Q:  Where and when does my team(s) practice?

A:  Specific practice times and locations are determined by individual team coaches. Generally, most teams practice Tuesday/Thursday evenings around 5:30 for about one hour at or near your neighborhood school.

Q:  I registered, when will I hear from a coach?

A:  Soon.  For a detailed explanation, click here.

Q:  What equipment/gear/uniform do I need to buy for my player?

A:  All players must have shin guards and an LYSA uniform to participate.  For a detailed answer, click here.

Q:  Can I get a refund?

A:  ALL refund requests must be made no later than the first game of the season. For Spring season 2020, this date is Saturday, April 4, 2020.  For a detailed explanation on how to request a refund, click here.

Q:  When / where do games start / end?

A:  Spring season games begin on April 4th and run through May 16th.  For a complete calendar of events, click here.  Most of the games are Saturday mornings at Churchill High School.  We never schedule Sunday games.
